Cricket World Cup 2015 – Free Excel Dashboard

Cricket World Cup 2015 Excel Dashboard is my attempt to capture the world cup in Excel. Though the team I support (India) came close but didn’t win, Australia deserved to win.

I have attempted to calculate all the stats based on raw match data (thanks to ESPNCricinfo). I have tried to keep it really simple and highlight only the most relevant stats. This is my first draft and I hope to enhance this dashboard as time goes by. Please share your suggestions and comments in the comments section below.

On Excel,

  • I have used formulas and conditional formatting as usual, without any macros.
  • I have tried to show flags of countries dynamically, which I have not done in my other templates so far.
  • There are no pivot tables, but there are some tables.
  • The sheets are protected, only to prevent accidental formula edits. Please feel free to unlock the sheets using the password indzara.

Please let me know your feedback in the comments section. I look forward to hearing from you.

You can download the template from the below link and unhide the data sheets to delete the existing data and input your match data.

Note: The password to unprotect the sheet is indzara. Some columns in the input sheet will have formulas and the same should not be modified or deleted.

      Best wishes.

  • Hi, I had a look at your file and it is very thorough
I have played around with calculating NRR (recently in the 100 from England). As I understand it the calculation is Team A runs scored divided by overs minus Team B runs scored divided by overs. An example Team A scores 147 100 balls; Team B 148 95 balls.
    NRR Team A 147/(100/6) – 148/(95/6) = -0.527368 and Team B 0.527368.

I must be making a mistake as my calculation never agrees with 100 table.
Can you tell me please where I am wrong? Thanks. Dennis

The NRR formula used in our template is ((runs scored/balls faced) – (runs conceded/balls bowled))*6 till Quarter-finals

      Best wishes.
